In a world ruled by the magical elite...
It's hard for a normal guy to get by. Unsavory tactics are needed to keep the belly full.
Azark sells phony potions, traveling from village to village. Mallow, his adopted adolescent Moon Giant daughter, keeps dissatisfied customers away while she yearns for a better wardrobe. The Age Day festival of Blythe draws thousands of tourists despite being in honor of a shy, smelly sorcerer. Mallow wants to shop, Azark wants to sell. But in a city as big as Blythe, Azark isn't the only con man, and the ones with their eyes on him want something more precious than gold.
Will Azark wise up in time to protect himself and Mallow? Is the unconventional heir a threat or an ally? And most importantly, will Mallow ever get cute shoes?

The Archivist's All-knowing Almanac by JanGoesWriting
40 parts Complete
There's nothing more dangerous than a book, especially in the wrong hands. And, in this world of magic, wars and an alarming number of self-serving, gratuitously selfish people, there are a lot of wrong hands to take advantage. When the world's foremost mage, Anpound Pudbatter (fresh from a magical accident that had turned him back into a teenager with all the associated raging hormones) meets Gammer Goodhiding, the world's most polite, yet indefinably terrifying witch, and Bindi, a Druid who almost has a filthy mouth, they come together to search for an object that could very well spell the end of the world as they know it. Or change it in ways they cannot imagine. From the intermittently high Mount Pintel, to the vast, unending Library, to the indeterminately located city of Lost Vagueness, where hope, and Coin, go to wallow in despair, to the world's most important, prominent, and tiniest city, the three of them must follow the magical chaos wrought by the presence of the book. And with warlords bent on conquest, thieves out for a quick score and a djinn with a mischievous attention to detail in the way, things may not go quite according to plan. And what, exactly, is the origin of the book? Only The Archivist's All-knowing Almanac knows for sure. A love-letter to the works of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. Not Your Fairy Godmother by BitterFiction
28 parts Complete
Sebastian Spencer is the most eligible bachelor in town. He's handsome, charming and very popular. Kat Olsen is just a normal girl. She's feisty, career oriented and but with just enough whimsy to believe in fairy tales. But there is one problem. Sebastian's too afraid of commitment and Kat's not looking for casual. Both of them have suffered heartbreaks in the past and both of them have recently gone through a break up. In the unlikeliest of places, these two find each other and discover, that maybe true love exists after all. Sounds like a sweet story doesn't it? Straightforward and easy: boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love and then live happily ever after. But happily ever after just doesn't happen. It takes hard work, commitment and just a touch of magic. Of course, none of this hard work involves Sebastian and Kat, no, no. That sweet responsibility falls on the shoulders of one Matilda Merryweather. Sebastian's best friend, a fairy godmother, and one of the many women secretly in love with him. Matilda will have to make a choice. Getting Sebastian together with Kat won't be easy. She will face many obstacles, including Kat's best friend, Sebastian's ex who hates him and Sebastian's egotistical, cold hearted, brother, who hates Matilda. Matilda doesn't want to be a fairy godmother for other when she never gets to have true love herself. She is tired of being the side character, the spunky best friend, the mean girl who gets in the way or whatever box typical love stories push her into. She wants a story of her own, a happily ever after. Will things be different this time? Will Sebastian choose her over his soulmate? Or will she have to content with just being his fairy godmother?
