Dikisahkan seorang lelaki bernama Hambali memutuskan untuk berpoligami karena istrinya tidak kunjung hamil dan mendapat keturunan. Istri pertamanya yaitu Wulandari mau tak mau tentu saja harus menerima keputusan dari suaminya tersebut demi mewujudkan keinginan suaminya untuk memiliki keturunan
Cerita berbeda ternyata terjadi setelah beberapa bulan suaminya menikah dengan wanita lain yang bernama Ratna (istri muda). Keajaiban terjadi ketika Wulandari hamil. Singkatnya karena takut dicerai oleh suaminya istri muda dari lelaki tersebut memutuskan untuk membunuh Wulandari dari suaminya dengan menyuruh orang lain.
Setelah Wulandari yang tengah hamil tua tersebut terbunuh konon dari dalam kuburnya muncul penampakan hantu dan menjadi sosok kuntilanak. Arwah Wulandari semakin gentayangan dan selalu hadir di tengah-tengah kehidupan Hambali,Ratna serta kedua anak mereka.
