" I can only remember snatches of conversation that aren't even in chronological order. The next thing I remember was the kiss.
Neither one of us pulled away for a long time. Too long. "Stop." I stammered, pushing him back. "This isn't right. At all." I saw his face fall.
"I thought it was." He replied.
"It won't and it never will be." I said.
Jack was in love with a broken girl.
She still loved someone who was dead.

I open the drink and look at it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. I sigh, it's a habit now, and take a gulp. "So?" You ask again. I put the drink on a table next to your bed and sit properly. "I don't know." I say honestly. You didn't seem fazed but you did seem a bit confused. "What do you mean you don't know?" I shrug and decide that the floor is the next best thing to look at. "I like you." I laugh at this and see you don't. "Don't say that. You don't like me. You don't." "In my 19 years of life I never really experienced anything worth telling a story about. Usually when something exciting happened to me, which was rare, I'd sum up the key parts and move on.
