Ryder grew up in the redwood forests of California protected by the government. He loved a happy life with his mother and father. But when a horrible hurricane tears through his town and kills his family. The government relocated him to Minnesota.

He goes and lives with a family of 5. He knows he'll like it here, at the house. But, school is a whole different story for the shifter. He endures crushes, bullying, heart break and dealing with grades.

Can he make it through high school without anyone knowing his secrets?
