Brayden Nickols is the softball prodigy at Eastwood – with her, the team will go to playoffs. Everyone sees the blonde haired, blue-eyed girl that everyone wants to be.
That’s not who she is though. It’s all just a façade. At school she may seem like she has the perfect life, but it’s far from it. At home she has to make sure her mother doesn’t drink herself into a stupor, make sure her little brother does his homework and is out of the wrath of her father. And as for her father, she has to take all of his hits and his words, because it’s the only way her brother will be safe.
So, you see, her life is far from perfect, but her best friends, her team, and maybe the cute football player will help her through it all.
This is a story about hard work, betrayal, determination, and love that can get through anything.
PG-15
This story will contain some language, and will focus a little bit on the concept of abuse. I do not support it at all or anything like that. I don't claim to know anything about it either. I do not mean to offend by having this in my story.
It's not too bad - there will be a lot of lighthearted moments, and romance, so it's not exactly a sad story either :)
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
