There's not much to say about your life besides the fact that it's been planned. From the day you were born, you were given a role to play. Then you were shipped off to a small town called Clarenceville, USA. Which is identical to 900 other Clarencevilles, conducting the same experiment. Now, now, you may think your life is fake. You may think your life is boring and controlled but besides those with starring roles, the others are just robots. You are one of the only things real in that town. - It's your seventeenth birthday, all of you have the same birthday, a quirk in the system. The government has one more year with you and then they must tell you the truth. The Final Year or the seventeenth year is quite typical. The cheerleader becomes pregnant, the druggie commits suicide, the nerd gets accepted to Stanford. It's like a ridiculous 80's movie except it's not, it's your life. - Except with this group they've made an exception, they've inputted a new character, The New Boy who despite they're attempts to control him has his own agenda. To ruin everyone else's Final Year. So welcome to the Final Year, the best and last year of your short life. Plot summary inspired by selection.fcs on Instagram. "I LOVED IT" - Clumsy_weirdo_353 "So your sister likes to get drunk and beat up guys twice her size," Taylor said, her eyes closed. "Yup." A beat. "So you can teleport." "Yup." Another slice of silence. "So you really can fight," she said. "Yup." A single heartbeat. "So you can teleport." "Yup." "Cool. Cool, cool, cool." Taylor squinted at him, his outward calm mystifying. "You're taking this a lot better than I imagined," she said. He shrugged, but like a bomb, he exploded. "Holy- You can teleport!" Taylor nodded once with the inevitable. "Yeah, that was more like what I was expecting." Taylor's life has been thrown into tailspin. Since discovering she could teleport six months ago she's been trying to juggle being a high school student by day, and a vigilante by night with failing results. Unable to stay awake in classes from her late nights, her grades are dropping fast, and to top it off her exhaustion has she left friendless. When saving late night employees from a burning building puts Taylor in the path of a dangerous criminal, she ends up in an altercation that forces her to realize she needs help. Help comes from two unlikely people: Clint and Dominic who bring their own complications. As the problems keep building, Taylor is quickly learning that having an ability doesn't mean she knows how to protect the city, let alone herself. "It was amazing!!! And really realistic for a superhero book, you even found an explanation for why she has her powers. It also shows that even though she has powers she still is human" - gui_iris "OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK WITH ALL MY HEART" - _cooloreo_ "I laughed, I cried, I screamed out in frustration, but that's what makes this book so amazing, along with the amazing character growth and plot twists that still got me reeling to this day 😂" - Theaxbank "This is a delightful action packed read that'll keep you at the edge of your seat. Would recommend." Miathesmall
