In the chaotic world of Zemlya, Pirates rule the four Mereas (seas), Celestial Blood controls the Government, The chosen are treated as Gods, mere Humans are trash/peasants, Deserters (Chosen who run away from their responsibility to live with humans) are becoming like the pirates themselves and causing problems for the world.
Alethea Marie Cage's life long dream is to be normal, to be like everyone else. To be human, not to be worshiped as a goddess just because she is the daughter of one of the true kings of the chosen. And to top off all her problems she needs to find her mate who just so happens to be her high school bully, in order for her to become queen.
