Lalah has a secret that only her best friend Shawn knows. The secret makes her heart run cold. It makes her body feel numb. And makes her bottle up and show no emotion. Though she doesn't show it cause she doesn't feel it. This is all because, she was raped.

"I Just want you better bean. I don't like you like this. I want you happy and where you can express your feelings again." He says with a sigh still looking me in the eyes with such love and honesty I can't help but look away.

"Me to." my voice is barley a whisper but you can hear the raw the honesty in my words.

I look up to see Shawn looking at me with a small sad smile set on his lips. "It's time to warm you up." The way he says it with so much conviction I know he just made a silent promise to himself.

"Time to what?" I say, confused.

"It's time to make you who you were, sure you won't be one hundred percent and that's okay, but it's time to try, like you did tonight with my friends. You can't let what that douche bag did to you a year ago ruin your life." He pauses to poke my heart, then he continues. "Its time to warm that back up. Because Lylah, you're not alone in this world."
