Samantha Ryland was hiking in the woods with her husband, Sean, when they were attacked by vicious vampires. She awoke later to find herself in the secret village of Aiedail, located under the streets of Boston, Massachusetts. The village leader, Lucius, has been told of a great prophecy that states that the source of all evil, a vampire named Jack Weston, will finally be taken out by Sam. She goes through rigorous training and with the accompaniment of Devin, another vampire from Aiedail, and a rogue leader named Benjamin, they go on a quest through the wilderness of Russia to seek out and kill Weston. Her mission could decide the fate of both the mortal and vampire worlds. She cannot fail.
