Five-year-old Fae woke up in the middle of the night feeling thirsty. She called her nanny but she seemed fast asleep so the little girl decided to go on her own. The lights outside her room were turned off except for the one by the staircase. Carefully, she descended and headed into the kitchen where she caught a glimpse of a shadow just outside the window. She stepped closer to the window to see what it was. She wasn't afraid at all, just curious. Outside their mansion, Fae saw the small house where their family driver lives. The lights inside the driver's house were on and it looked like the people inside were still awake. Fae was very fond of the driver and the two were even closer to each other than Fae is with his own father. Wondering if the driver could make her a cup of warm milk, Fae went out of the mansion bringing Morris along, a huge Alaskan husky with sharp teeth. Morris was kept beside Fae as a guard dog. Fae could hear soft sobs as she moved closer into the driver's house. She thought the driver's son was crying because he was missing his mother who passed away not too long ago. Fae moved faster and opened the unlocked door just in the right time to save the old man from a burglar whose gun was aimed at him. Fae's heart beat faster but still, she wasn't afraid a bit. She had seen too many guns to be afraid of it. It was excitement that urged her to jump into the burglar fearlessly. The gun was fired but luckily, the bullet didn't hit the driver who was tied- arms, legs and mouth. The driver's and his son's eyes grew wide in shock and they both couldn't say a word, nor scream. The burglar lost the gun in his hand and pushed Fae into the wall in an attempt to escape. It was too late for him because Morris was already on the loose and attacked him furiously. Sadly, Fae got herself a major head injury from being pushed too hard onto wall and lost parts of her memory including that heroic day. However, the driver and his son could never forget. All Rights Reserved
