Danny struggles after accidentally coming out to his parents about being gay, which they don't take very well. Danny's parents mistreat him and try to get him to like girls by any means necessary. Dash wasn't making things easy on Danny either. Danny feels like everything is hopeless, his parents won't accept him in his human form and he knows they'd never accept his ghost form. The Field Trip and a Secret Identity
Danny Fenton is just another person like the rest of us. He goes to school, he sleeps, eats, and lives. Only half way though for that last one. While not dead, he isn't alive. Danny is a halfa. Half alive and half dead; half boy and half ghost. It's hard enough keeping that a secret from ghost hunting parents. After the Disasteriod incident though, it has gotten harder to fake being normal. And a field trip with his class to the place filled with both allies and friends of his isn't the best way to keep a secret either.
