Violet Jacobsen has always been a very happy person. Even though she grew up with only her mother.Even though she was the weird one at school, seeing monsters. She was ever the optimist, and was never sad for long, always bright. She was the peacemaker. But through it all,she always felt a void, like some part of her was missing. Adrienne Ravenkey is the exact opposite. Born Zella Kim ,she was raised by her grandmother, who died in a fire started by lightning when she was only six. Now she's been on the streets for seven years.Fiercely independent, trusting no one.A self taught genius and scientist,a natural born fighter. She's dark, like a shadow. It was said that her MIA mother sensed that darkness, and named her Zella, shadow, after it. When she was orphaned, she adopted a new name. Adrienne. The dark lady from the sea. It just seemed more fitting for her. She too feels such a void. What happens when their paths meet? The burning sun,and the cold moon. Opposites with something in common.

Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further. He would not succumb to the light only to fall forever into darkness. He would do what Icarus couldn't. Nico di Angelo would not fly too close to the sun. Cover art by viria!
