Lilith is trying to live off of old ship pieces when one day when she's out there with her familiar. When they find a demon about to die. Lilith choose to save the demon's life or kill it. Each choose will have consequence. during this time a war is going on and get's her number called. She goes to war with the south and tries to get the south back into the union. ( I tried to make this book based after the REAL civil war, were the south secedes from the union and the North tries to get them back.)
