I could smell his breath lingering on my face. I closed my eyes. If I open them, I wouldn't be able to concentrate on what he was saying.
"I will never give up on you, my mate. I'll make you accept me. I'm not gonna accept your rejection. It's not that easy to get rid of me, Hallie. I WILL make you accept me." With that, he kissed my forehead and walked away.
