Sometimes I wonder if we are all just part of an abandoned elaborate experiment. What if God had thrown his entire Earth project out the window once he accidentally created humans because we're clueless and greedy and mess things up? That would explain a lot. Like, for example, in this moment, why a circle of half a dozen humans are either pointing military grade guns or bamboo sticks at me.
Was it something obnoxious I said on Facebook?
Are they a bunch of staff seeking revenge because I Russian Roulette style fired them off last month?
Or....oh, wait! The bottom tier of the workforce who perpetually complain about the state of the economy and use ridiculous but lucrative ways to sought after high income.

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world.
