Guardian angels aren't supposed to show themselves, they're supposed to look out for their human and guide them away from mistakes, maybe save them from an unfortunate end, and if they die, they're assigned a new human.However, Castiel can't help but feel attached to his human, Dean Winchester, and when Dean finds himself facing death, Castiel shows himself to save him. Then when Castiel finds himself falling in love with his human and accidentally locks himself out of heaven, things start to spiral out of control.

I love the idea of Destiel, that a human and an angel can move beyond the physical boundaries of the human body, and find something deeper in each other, during a time when they are both ships tossing in a chaotic sea of emotions, and at a time when their lives are absolutely falling apart. They cling to one another, each becoming the other's safe harbor. It's transcends sex, moves beyond the fact that they are both in male form. It is love in its purest form, and it is on a deep and spiritual level. The idea that someone as broken as Dean Winchester can find someone that can see past the darkest parts of himself to the light within and still love him I think is the most beautiful thing on earth. True Confessions
Cas and Dean are seniors in high school and they've been best friends since they were five years old. They know everything about one another, or so Dean thought. The one thing he didn't know was that Cas was gay. The other he didn't know was that Cas was completely and totally in love with him. Oblivious, Dean launches into a new relationship with a girl he meets at the mall one afternoon, and it tears Cas apart seeing Dean with her, especially when it looks like for the first time in his life, Dean is getting serious about a girl. Charlie, being the good friend she is throws a party and invites Cas. There's an interesting guy there that catches Cas' eye. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!Completa
