Sage Camden is moving to her new home in Louisiana, away from everything she's ever known. There, she meets a boy named Lucas, but something seems off. The more that she gets to know him, the more she loses her mind. Things begin to change. She sees things that couldn't possibly be her imagination, but he simply denies them. She gets deeper and deeper into her head, until she's almost convinced herself that she truly might be crazy. Her walls come crumbling down as she's introduced to heartbreak, betrayal, and worst of all- her insanity. This house, it isn't right. Lucas isn't right. Luke is imagining a world under his deep sorrows; hence the secret underworld. His faith lies in his friends in Grimland Avenue including Jay Underdawg, Louise, and Jessie. Jay and Louise are a power couple constantly having mood swings through each event possible. Jessie is a crush Luke met from one of his visions. Burns was imagined in a conspiracy of a lab chemist trying to do the town and its people's dirty work under Luke's brain. It was claimed he inserted some DNA and other pesticides inside Luke to give him a rare form of mind control and psychic ability. Everybody sees Luke in his visions while he's trying to push away from the passing of his mother. He was even confused about Burns being his actual father. Either way, he can tell that Jay always had his back from beginning to end. Jay and Luke signs off their fight for survival through a tube of fictional beast colliding within Luke's brain. 🧠
