I responded quickly enough to not let anyone suspect I knew something, "a new kid? We haven't had a new kid in years. Kids usually leave." That was true. There's tons of gangs and 2 very large mafias in the area. People don't come here for fun. The last 'new kid' was me. But no one really knows anything about me, even after the years I've been here.
