Fourteen-year-old Edison Green may be a genius, but he doesn't have a clue about what to do on his first day of high school. After being homeschooled until age 9 and then starting college courses, Edison doesn't have any experience with kids his own age. His parents believe he has a rare gift and they don't want him to be distracted by the menial problems of teenagers; instead, they want him to focus on his research project, which could be the next big breakthrough in physics. Edison loves physics more than anything, but loneliness and curiosity about life outside his world cause him to rebel. He goes on strike, refusing to continue his studies until his parents agree to let him go to high school for one year. Edison isn't worried about high school being hard--after all, he's been invited to join Mensa International--an exclusive club for the top 2% of the world's smartest people. But he finds out quickly that it takes more than a high IQ to traverse the social events and activities at Southton High School. During an unfortunate encounter with the school's most popular athlete, Edison meets Christina Blakely, who saves him from getting pummeled on his first day of school. She is the exact opposite of him in every way. Christina is a soccer phenom who doesn't have time to be friends with lowly freshmen. She's got problems of her own, including a low GPA, which could prevent her from getting a college scholarship. Can Christina achieve the impossible-the highest GPA she's ever had--and earn her scholarship? And can Edison prove to his parents and everyone else-including Ashley Murray, the most beautiful girl he's ever seen-that he can do more than solve difficult math problems? Can he really change the world with his research project, win Ashley's heart and survive high school?
The Light House Girl. by Growling_moon

17-year-old Abigail Wells, known as Abbie, is shipped off to live with her estranged mother. The same woman whom Abbie has not seen since she was about three years old. Abbie's dad, Keith, is not a good guy and hates her passionately. Her home life was not good growing up yet he was the only parent she has ever known. Her only constant. Adeline Cobwell, Abbie's mother, lives in a small town, Reef's Paradise located in Florida. As the name indicates, the town is sort of a paradise for people residing there. Hidden alcove of a town, separated from busy cities surrounding it. The local saying, 'once you are here, you never want to leave,' is something all townsfolk here adhere to. Just like any other small town, Reef's Paradise has its own stories and secrets. Most of such stories are known to all the residents but unknown to the newcomer, Abbie. One such intriguing story is about the Light House, located at the far end of the town on a deserted beach. There is something about the stories, and the Light House itself that attracts Abbie even before she finds out a secret, hiding in it. This is a story about Abbie's journey to self-discovery, to learn what love and care truly mean. Being a teenager is not easy nor is peeling off layers of masks, especially when you have them on for so long. When anger is the only emotion Abbie's known to express for so long things are bound to explode. This is my first story here. Comments and feedback are appreciated. "I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I would have gotten off of him but I realize that he wasn't moving to get away from me. No, He was moving his lips against mine." °°°°° Aiden Moore isn't extraordinary. He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! Emmalyn Cole also known as the school's sweetheart was the exact opposite. She was bright, loud and the absolute center of Rosewood High. Cole the Not So Stereotypical Jock Being the most popular guy that girls all want to be with and all guys want to be should make you feel on top of the world, right? Not always, especially if you have to keep the fact that you can barely afford food a secret at all costs. And then the new girl shows up with her amazing dance moves and intoxicatingly confusing logic, and he can't seem to get her out of his head. She isn't the favorite girl of the school, not to mention his friends, and she doesn't show any interest towards him, but he has to try. The girl with the mysterious ways has got him wrapped around her scarred little finger. Not Andy Being the girl with no friends is never easy- especially when you have major trust issues and problems that can only be discussed with a shrink. That's why instead of slowly letting people into her life, she chose to shut them out completely. It seems easier that way, which is until she moves to Bangor, Maine and catches the eye of Cole, the football quarterback and heart throb of the school. He makes her feel things that she didn't think we're capable, and he shows how to make a bad situation into something semi-tolerable. It gets her thinking that maybe cliche boys with secrets aren't such a bad thing. During their 17th year, Andy and Cole must face the problems of high school, social hierarchy, their pasts, relationships, trust, friendships, and even love. Both of them knowing that stories like this never happen to kids like them, but they're willing to try anyway.

12 parts Complete Mature

Jaden's been supportive, just as much as Josh has been. Josh Richards, their roommate and Jaden's best friend. She doesn't know what she would do without both of them. And maybe that's the problem. She wouldn't trade her life for anything in the world, wouldn't trade the chaos, the pain or the struggle. There's a lot she wouldn't trade, a lot of things she wouldn't erase like the feeling of Jaden's skin under her fingers and... And the feeling of Josh's lips against hers. Yeah, maybe that's the problem. Disclaimer: The ages might not fit with Jaden's and Josh's right now following the timeline of the story. I'm sorry. These chapters are snippets of Jaden, Josh and her life, they're in chronical order but each of them can be read on its own. (So, you can read chapter 5, then 2, then 1 etc.) But you should still read chapter 1 before any of the others since it explains how the relationship came to life. Some of them are really long while others are quite short. I wasn't sure if I wanted to post it, so don't be afraid to tell me if you like it and want me to post some of the other chapters. Also, sorry for the mistakes, english is not my first language. Enjoy!
