Short Story Series #1: The 12th Friend (REVISED) A group of friends would always have each other's back. That's what they are. 7 boys and 4 girls. Nothing can set them apart. They've known each other since highschool. Now, they're in college; still goofing around like pre-school kids. This group of friends is all about happiness. This group of friends knows each other's secrets. Everything about them is perfect, but one group vacation will change their lives forever. The trust that they built to each other will slowly vanish. Their friendship will be forgotten. In a mansion, a killer lives. A spirit that is hungry for killing. ... A screeching sound of heavy metal chains can be heard from the empty room upstairs, but what scares them the most is that, no one is inside that room. All of them are complete in the living room. The screeching sound stops. No one dared to move and speak. But suddenly, the lights all over the mansion went off. The screeching sound of metal chains can be heard again, but now, its not coming from the room upstairs anymore. Its coming from the hallway, and the sound is getting louder and louder, indicating that its coming near them. They held their breaths together. Now, the sound is by the door of the living room already. Then it suddenly stopped. A couple of minutes of silence passed by. Well, not until they heard a loud scream. The piece is soon revealed to harbour something dark, malevolent, and ancient. Something that has plans for Aaron and his friends, and will use tonight's friendly gathering, as a means of satiating its voracious appetite for blood. Excerpts from the novella: "The creature screamed and fell to the ground. It started fighting the pain, crawling on the floor, but Karima's sadness did not consume her and patiently she took the long knife and stabbed the beast's back multiple times until rivers of blood started to flow and filled the floor with red dirt. The creature groaned a few times, but after several seconds of agony, it was inexplicably going limp and disappeared like it never truly existed." "The bathroom walls were a crimson mess, and Ady's dead body was sprawled out on the floor. The creature kneeled down next to him, feeding. It was a horrific sight, to see this monster with its teeth sinking tireless into a man's breathless body. Ady's eyes were removed from his orbits, and his mouth was still open, from his attempt to scream. Hungry growls filled up the bathroom, while Ady's interior was brutally devoured. On the face of the creature was contemptuous pleasure, without any mercy towards the pale and disfigured human being in front of it. It was atrociously heinous."Complete
