I am writing this because I cannot STAND the ending of the Rise of Skywalker even though it needed to end that way and it was really well done. If I didn't ship Reylo, I would've loved the ending. Whelp, this is a fanfiction of how I would've liked it to end. I'm going to make it as similar to the movie as I can while adding my own touches (and a Ben Solo) to it. I'm going to start it right after the part where Emperor Palpatine takes Rey and Ben's Lifeforce during their fight on Exogol. I will be changing POVs too. With the money from Pod races he had been able to buy his mother's freedom and he had finally grown up as a farm boy with his mother's new husband. He quickly made a name for himself as a smuggler, thanks to his flying skills. Unfortunately, these skills also often led to trouble. The same happened to him when he was on a mission on the city planet Coruscant and met a Togruta. She aroused his curiosity and something in him drew him to her. Even without knowing him the Togruta knew things about him that he had never told anyone. Before he knew it he was on a tricky escape in which she promptly saved his life.Complete
