  This story was inspired by some purportedly nonfictional works, "Flying Saucers Have Landed", by Desmond Leslie and George Adamski (1953) and "Inside the Spaceships" by George Adamski (1955), along with various other sources on George Adamski and others like him. He was a UFO contactee, someone who claimed that he had close encounters of the friendly kind with extraterrestrial visitors.

(All the myths and legends in this book are based around beings who are already in books and legends, although there may be one or two that I have made myself. The beings that I have described in this book, may not be how they are in myths and legends, but please don't get annoyed or angry, for this is how I have done it with as much information as I possibly can. When Polaris considers traveling down to Earth just to become a human and be with her, he sneaks away from Ursa Minor and descends to Earth. Back on Earth, Ashtynn is a bit a klutz. She acted like every other stereotypical anime girl. Ashtynn was judged a lot for this, causing her to have little to no friends in middle school. When high school came around, she changed her appearance and personality. Ashtynn basically became a delinquent--she got into fights, skipped classes, and trashed school property. Everything was going "well" until her real identity was uncovered and her life went back to the way it was before...until the star boy suddenly transfers to her school. Along with their awkward encounters and serious 'therapy sessions', Polaris and Ashtynn help each other understand what's really important.

But it is to be expected, they are an alien and don't understand a lot of things but also don't really care about it. They are curious but mostly focused on finding non-human entites and connecting with them for research. Which makes them not exactly interested in Lunar until they see what he really is, then they practically become obsessed with him and tries to figure out how he works by poking him, trying to listen to his mechanics inside of him, asking odd questions, etc. But the poor precious guy sees these as signs of interest and tries to be a good potential lover by doing a bunch of little jobs for them. Lunar also shows them a few earth things, treats and places as sort of various little dates, shows them a bunch of stuff because of their obsession with research, etc. only to end up being emotionally ignored by the oblivious Alien and left behind a couple times, which definitely gets to his feelers a lot :(
