"Are you afraid?" He asks suddenly.

"What? Afraid? Nah, I'm fine." He continues to stare, not believing me. I sigh, giving in.

"Yeah, I am afraid," I admit. "Everything has just happened to fast. I lost my parents, got kidnapped, got the Aether put into me, and now here I am, learning that I'll be training and living with the one and only Avengers. It's just a lot to take in." He nods in understanding, before speaking up.

"You know, I don't know what is," He points to the Mind Stone engraved in his forehead, and I can't help but get lost in it's beauty. "Not really, anyways. I know it's from another world, and it gave Wanda her powers, as well as power Loki's staff, and yet it is still a part of me."

"Are you afraid of it?"

"I wish to understand it. The more I do, the less it can control me. One day, maybe I'll even control it."
