Cats Next Door

In Castlebrook, when you turn 16, you become an official Magi, and get your familiar, a magical companion animal. Nessie Smite is almost 16, and could not be more nervous. Luckily, she encounters a talking cat named Hank, who helps her hone her powers. She becomes an expert at Cat Magic, a type of magic based on disguise and darkness. But, on the day before her 16th birthday, she moves out of Castlebrook, into a town with no magic. In her attempts to escape, she meets Cade, fellow Magi and cat lover. Together, they attempt to bring magic into their town, because everyone there may depend on it.
