Seraphina was lonely. She grew up lonely. She thought lonely thoughts. She lived a lonely life. She was lonely. Then she met Wendell. He was beautiful in only a way she could ever describe. She never knew what he saw in her. Maybe he was just as lonely as her. How could he be? Wendell had so much. He had a family that loved him. Friends who adored him. No one knew such a kind boy. Such a selfless boy. She was different. She had nothing. No friends, not a very nice family. How could he be as lonely as her if he had everything she had wanted.

"What's it like?" Luke whispered, playing with her hands as they sat there in silence "Hmm?" She turned her head to see the tall boy next to her "Depression, what's it like?" She thought long and hard about her answer, "It's like drowning but... you can see everyone else around you... breathing" ••••• "I'm Fine" - the biggest lie a person has ever told. Courtney was Luke's best friend until she fell into depression and there was no one to catch her. Not until Mark came along and everything was okay, apart from Luke was being torn apart every time he saw them - but it was making her happy, the relationship, so he was 'Fine'. Mark brutally broke up with Courtney and now she won't talk to anyone. Courtney has depression again but it's worse - and Luke has to bring her out of it.
