the men that came didn't just take me; they took my voice, my personality, and my freedom. i only ever managed to regain one of those, and it's certain i am no longer 'me' but i am also no longer theirs.
this is just a small story I wrote for a competiton and i decided to post on here. Please let me know what you think :)

"WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. His hand grips onto my jaw, his thumb playing across my lower lip. He turns my face to meet his as I lower my gaze to the floor. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. I squeezed my way through the abundant number of people, trying to get to the exit. I bumped into a lot of shoulders, until I found an opening.
