Never lie to a wolf

Raven, a wolf demon lives with what he believes is the last members of his family. A great battle begins as Raven's father Nigaras (Ni-gar-as) looks Raven and Sona (Raven's mother) in their bright silver eyes and anounces, "for every wolf this scourge called man has killed I will slaughter one hundred!" Later they are told by a messenger that Nigaras has destroyed countless citys far to the east and demons from all over joined together to bring him down. It took many lives to capture him, held in a type of court system he is sentenced to death for risking the lives of all demons. He laughed at the demons ordered to kill him, "The longer you wait, the more YOU risk the lives of all of us. You all should've followed in my example!" This created a rebellion amongst the demons and this rebellion went to war with the humans despite the risk. The rebellion only consisted of near fifty demons but it was like a war to the humans as countless were slaughtered. The rebellion soon died out, all of them were male cause the female demons were a lot smarter deciding against joining the resistance.

Sona cried for days with no sight of ending, Raven only stared out of his window. Months passed as the small family managed to live through the war without being dragged into it. The last day of the war Sona goes into labor giving birth to Rayne. Its been years since the war, Raven's story begins with Rayne's first day of school. She was told she had to go to avoid humans being suspicious of her family. She hated this idea but eventually gave in to Sona's request.
