Dean is a violent hunter who's main job is to kill anything that isn't a human... and even human bodies drop sometimes too. He might be rough and distant, but all he wants is someone to stay loyal to him this time. He never allowed himself to rely on anybody, but the space he has to put between himself and people is breaking him. He just wants somebody to stay with him, but trusting somebody else is so hard.

Castiel is a slightly confused angel of the Lord. He has worked with Dean for quite some time now and can't imagine life without him. Cas has been through some rough times himself, and he's not quite sure if he's come out of it better or worse. At the beginning he might have been innocent and mostly confused by the world, but now he's all but shed any previous notions of the world his father made. He's broken but fighting for strength.

Dean left his guard a little bit too far down and let Castiel in. But sooner or later, he could feel himself falling for him. He blamed himself for allowing it to happen, mentally berating himself for even thinking a relationship with an angel could ever work.

Little did he know Cas felt the same way.

A Burned Soul

15 parts Complete

Dean Winchester opens his eyes and he's a demon. Taking place after the season finale, Dean Winchester sees the world in a darker view. Things seem to get better when he allies with Crowley and uses his new powers to his advantage. Castiel seems to accept him. Dean has a rude awakening when he has to prove to a Hunter that he's still himself. When his family sees things take a turn for the worst, he has to become human. When their attempts fail, Dean must hold onto his emotions. The only way to do so, he learns, is to use the love for his family and maybe even someone truly remarkable that was right in front of him. That is if Sam and Cas find him before someone causes Dean to lose it.
