Mark Smith is Oakland highschool's typical bad-boy. He's a player with a devil may care attitude and the captain of the football team. He's got the looks, money, personality and intelligence that make him hot property with all the girls at school. He's a smooth talking Casanova. He breaks many hearts due to his lack of faith in love thanks to his troubled home life and traumatic childhood but all that changes when he bumps into Monica Lewis, an exchange student from Asia at the school library. She's quite, shy, timid and basically the opposite of the type of girls that Mark usually associates with. Yet for some reason he finds her appealing and attractive as she has a great sense of humor and is a hardcore foodie like him. They click instantly and become best friends and for the 1st time Mark feels like giving love and dating a shot but a bully called Chloe Baker- the football team's head cheerleader who secretly loves Mark is determined to break them apart and make Monica's life miserable. Can their love withstand Chloe's wrath and can Mark overcome his inner demons to make this relationship work ?

Christina has had her life figured out for as long as she could remember. The plan was always to get into Harvard and become a journalist. So what if she doesn't have much of a social life? She's got friends. Even one who's pretty close. A busy social calender never fit into the plan. And a boyfriend certainly didn't. Especially with her father's strict rules. Besides there'd be plenty of time for all that later, right? Mike doesn't know what he's doing past the next week. His only plan for the future includes turning out to be nothing like his father. And possibly finding a girl who actually likes him for himself rather than for his face and social status, for a change. He's beginning to think they're all the same, though - pretty and nice to be around for a while, but pretty shallow. Mike and Christina have known each other forever but haven't been close for years. They soon start to question their priorities and why in the world they let their friendship fall apart so long ago. Can their relationship, still so young and fragile, withstand what's ahead?
