Ms. Dun decides to give Coraline a journal to write in twice a week so she doesn't keep the things to herself anymore (until she feels comfortable talking to Ms. Dun face to face.). Ms. Dun promises to not read a entry saying in capital letters "DO NOT READ MS. DUN". Coraline agrees to this "journal keeping". But are her secrets safe?
