Carter Tate was completely alone. When he was eighteen years old he had destroyed the only person he had ever loved. His mother had died because of him. Carter was a time bomb with only limited amounts of time to control his budding electrical powers. Carter Tate moved from the small city of Kansas, where he grew up, to Harlem, New York where he currently resided with Luke Cage. He had known Shield and hydra both were tailing him being they saw him as an immediate threat. Shield was ready to take action after he tore his house down with his random bursts. 
Carter was an Inhuman and had the ability to control electricity.  The Avengers had never seen anything like him before, and neither Carter knew what he was in for when Shield comes knocking on his door-literally.

The suspense at the end of each chapter is great, you just can't wait to read on and when you do the action and twists are wonderful. Another great job by RavenBlack1832 is that they made sure Alex wasn't stealing other character's lines from the movie, all of them were her own just like her place on the team. The romance was also placed well throughout the story and not built up in certain spots that took over the plot. Due to her intelligence many schools like Midtown-High offered her a spot in a class two years above her age and made a deal with her that she'd get everything that was necessary for going to their school and that she wouldn't need a guardian to sign stuff. In return, the school gets a better reputation by having a highly intelligent student joining it's classes. In NYC, she lives alone in an apartment as she can take care of herself. Also, she is very skilled in any kind of science. Physically, she can do much as well. After her first day at her new school, she wanted to text her new friend but read a 7 as a 1, resulting her to text an unknown number of someone quite famous. -Does she gain their trust and the other way around or is it the opposite? -Is she going to find out about her family? -Why did she choose exactly that school?
