(Lowercase intended on cover) "The simple things in life are never meaningful, and the meaningful things in life are never simple. So maybe I don't want meaningful. Maybe I just want someone who cares enough to listen." Gemma Summers and Noah Hanson are strangers. They have little in common, not to mention polar opposite personalities, yet lead extremely similar lives in the sense that they both feel they are missing something. In a small, vintage style coffee shop the two meet, finding solace in their queer, complication free conversations. They don't want to be friends, they don't want to be lovers, they don't want anything more than to talk over two cups of coffee. But keeping up the ideal simplistic relationship proves harder than it seems as unwanted feelings of attachment and connection arise, leaving them both wondering if maybe simplicity isn't what they are searching for, and if they are searching for something that has already been found. Completed-- ABOUT TO UNDERGO SOME EDITING AND REVAMPING especially for chapters 41 to 48 and 53. Bare with me here, as the writing process is torturous (and lovely, of course.) Expect a shitton of updates in the next few months. Warning: Mature language within (it's swearing, they're twenty, no surprise there) These chapters rarely exceed five hundred words, which is why there are so many of them. I hope you enjoy! (Please do not copy my work. I appreciate that you like my idea enough to steal it, but there are better ways to show this appreciation. So please, don't. I've worked hard on this.)
