This is a fanfiction based on the Scorch Trials, with influences from the movie as well as the book. It takes place during the thunder storm that leads the gladers to Jorge and Brendas old warehouse. The main character, Vera, is eighteen years old, and one of the cranks who live there. She and her brother has escaped a painful past and are now living with Jorge and Brenda in peace, or so they think. As the threat from WICKED grows stronger and strange things start to happen, she needs to make a decision, and question what she thought she knew. Especially when she recognizes one of the gladers from her past, while he has no memory of her.
