Esme Dupont's easy and high-class life takes a drastic turn one summer. It begins with her aunt, the Grand Wizard's, murder, a betrayal, a curse and a leap of faith off of the top of the massive Ivory Tower to her potential death. But it does not end there. Framed for the Grand Wizard's death and inconveniently cursed, Esme is forced to blackmail a young thief and force him to smuggle her from Lakeside city to the Granite Tower on the other-side of the country, where the only ally who is both magically and politically powerful enough to help her resides. But getting there will be hard and, with the police, the dangerous Wizard Tower's hunters and a begrudging ally, Esme is not at all confident she can make it in one piece, let alone alive.
This wasn't the summer she had planned. This was a summer of nightmares. A summer of slyness, sneaking and shape-changing curses. A Vulpine Summer.

Vulpine Summer is a young adult fantasy-romance adventure set in a fantastical 1920's world, where fashion and class mean everything and magic is barely holding its place against the ever growing science and medicine.

Was titled Vulpine Summer from 2016 - 2022.
Cover is my own work, drawn 2022.

Author's note - Please be mindful of what you're saying when commenting. I'm happy with helpful criticism, spelling/grammar pointers, questions or simple chatter. However, a tirade of needless, unhelpful complaints and just outright rude commentary is not welcome. My stories are terrible first drafts, they're going to be riddled with issues, so just politely highlight if you feel there's a problem. I'll listen and likely take on board the criticism. And if you're not enjoying it, that's fine, just move on and thank you for giving it a shot.

*now complete* Bad fae. As though there's such a thing as a good fae. Since the fae were exiled from their Otherworld to the human world, Aegrath has been a continent under precarious truce. Hatred runs deep for the atrocities committed in the war following the Return. So, what did this hybrid bastard princess decide to do? Yeah, steal from the arrogant arseholes. My escape nearly ends in an execution when a dark fae assassin decides to save my life. Now that life belongs to Dain of the Voidsworn under magical geas. The fae responsible for killing the only people I had ever loved. He owns me. He controls me. He hates me. He craves me. But no less than I hate and crave him in return, as obsession flares between us. He would destroy the whole world for me, as long as we don't destroy each other first. Is this merely Fate's cruel idea of a joke or is there some other reason the Goddess has forced the two of us together? As my connection to my darkling fae side grows stronger, truths come to light that have the very real power to topple the fragile peace holding Aegrath from the brink of another war. And Dain and I have no choice but to stand against them all together. For fans of Sarah J. Maas and Holly Black. These are not the fairies of your childhood. They are dark and dirty, and sooner kill you as love you. They might even kill you because they fell in love with you. They do nothing unless it suits them, and they will steal your heart.

~A Wattys and Fiction Award winner* A lion does not need an invitation from a lamb. That is not the way of the predator. Predators take what they want, when they want it, however they please. And this belief that I am, that evil is, enslaved by the dark night is humorous to say the least. Why would any creator make their pupil inept of withstanding the lighted world when this planet is covered in daylight for half of its life span? No, our Maker did not instill such restrictions for, up here on these earthly lands, we are the gods of prey. ~ Tristan There is only one rule vampires must follow--Bite Hard. It is forbidden for humans to know vampires exist so you can imagine Tristan Darkos's surprise when he finds one that knows what he is. He can tell by the tremble of her body, the thump-thump of her pulse, and her dilated pupils. He's going to have to finish what some other vampire started. The problem is when Tristan gets close to this human his blood turns to fire and the thirst that burns in his throat that should spell her doom twists until he's consumed by another need--one that is evocative, primitive, and...wrong. If Tristan doesn't figure out the mystery that is Kinley Shea Rylan, it is certain whatever dark force her honey blood is summoning forth will be the end of him and, possibly, the end of the world as we know it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Author note: - This is an original work with my take on Vampires.
