13 year old Dipper and Mabel come back to the small town of Gravity Falls one year after the apocalypse. When they are reunited with Stan and Ford, and all the others, Ford has a mysterious invention. A warp pad, similar to the portal.
14 year old Steven, Connie, Lion, and the gems (with Peridot and Lapis) encounter a warp pad glitch, while checking on the cluster, which leads them to a small town, where everything is not what it seems.

Also, the twins are a year younger when this takes place, so they are 11 going on 12 when Mabel goes to Gravity Falls and the whole Weirdmageddon thing happens. . Summer was over, and it was time to get back to school. Mabel, who just got back from their great uncles' place, is excited to show and tell her twin about all the cool stuff that happened, though she isn't suspecting to accidentally bring a certain yellow demon with her to California... After the episode "Sock Opera" where Mabel got possessed by Bill, the dream demon was able to teleport to her mind right before being destroyed, leaving him very weak but also very much alive. Also the barrier around Gravity Falls doesn't quite effect Bill anymore since he is now kinda bound to Mabel's mind and wherever she is, he is too. This is (obviously) an AU (Alternative Universe).
