Abandoned by her brother, Akane was forced to live in Whale Island for the rest of her life under the care of Aunt Mito, Granny, and Gon Freecs. Leaving only a letter to explain her brother's absence, she believed that by becoming a Hunter, it would help raise the chances of ever finding him.
No journey will be an easy one. Meeting new faces, facing traumatising tests and coping with her fear of the dark is just the tip of the iceberg. But, when you have friends that'll always have your back no matter what, they can get you through even the toughest of journeys.

I've always dreamed of being transported into one of my favorite anime worlds. But getting thrown headfirst-literally-into the Hunter x Hunter universe? Not exactly what I had in mind. One second, I was chilling in my room, and the next, I was crash-landing onto a ship headed for the Hunter Exam. Now, I'm stuck with a bunch of future Hunters, trying not to embarrass myself (or die) in a world where danger lurks around every corner. With Gon's optimism, Kurapika's sharp tongue, Leorio's... well, Leorio-ness, and Killua's smug (but attractive) smirk, and also the way he looks like he's gonna snap my neck in a second whenever I get too close to Gon.
