16 year old Angel Lumiere is part of a race of people that possess extraordinary blessings since birth. People with powers that go beyond the human laws of physics and science.

When you discover something more powerful than yourself you come to hate it and wish to control it. When their existence was discovered, the world turned against them.
They were killed, chained, locked up, and driven into a corner. In Angel's generation, Miracles are seen as tools, beings that are less than human.
Free-spirited Angel is unfortunately born into this generation where Miracles are no less than animals. For 16 years she has been confined to a basement as her home in hiding. Being the adventurous rebel that she is, Angel relentlessly pressures her brother to let her explore the world for the first time.
But what happens when her damp boring basement is replaced by a prison cell? What will she do when the fate of the Miracles are in her hands alone?
