Robyn Mackenzie is a teenage girl who lives with her two parents. She gets good grades in school and makes plenty of friends easily. The one thing is. Though. Her dad is a lawyer and she moves around a lot. So far throughout her life she's been to nine different schools. Not staying at one for more than a year. Once again her family has to move from the city of Seattle to New York. The Big Apple. When Robyn was younger she dreamed of going there, but now it's just like all the other cities to her. Just another "home". But this city, turns out, it different. When she arrives at the school she instantly makes a friend. Not just anyone for that matter. The high school jock. And along with that, she somehow manages to get an "enemy" too. Who turns out to be the jock's girlfriend. Robyn starts to like the school, more than she's liked her other schools. And she wants to stay. But. The students at this school are different. The jock has a dirty secret. The girlfriend's living a life of lies. Robyn is confused in what's real and what's not. This school. It's not the same. There are only two words that cross Robyn's mind though: "Not Again."

There are two things Harper Lynch wasn't expecting when she made out with an attractive stranger at her aunt's wedding. One: He would show up on her doorstep two weeks later as the son of an old family friend. Two: That he would be staying in her house, right next door to her. If living together isn't enough, Duke starts to go to Harper's school for the year, and immediately earns the status of the senior heartthrob. Suddenly, Harper, the girl who keeps mostly to herself and spends a lot of time in her room watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathons, is the envy of every girl in her high school. Harper couldn't care less, and despite that fact that she has insisted that she has in no interest in Duke, she is still subject to the wrath of jealous, catty bitches and the admiration of wide-eyed freshmen. It really doesn't help that Duke is constantly flirting with her in his own irritating yet charming way. Harper refuses to be yet another conquest, but is that what Duke wants? Or does he want more?
