Alexa has been abused ever since she could remember. Her father has done some unspeakable things to her, told her things no young girl should ever have to hear. It's not surprising how difficult it is for her to believe a man would actually want to help her.
Logan is a werewolf. At 17 he was thrown into the role of Alpha. He handled it well, especially since it wasn't too long after his father was murdered and his mother vanished. He never thought he'd find his mother, much less meet his mate.
