Social Swap

Mari Himura was born in an unfortunate period in time where a event called the Social Swap occurred. It was a period where socialism was encouraged. As a result, the rich payed for the poor as if they were slaves. Many families gave up the rich life in order to get free payments without work. The unfortunate group of people that still have an ounce of pride left, suffered the effects of extreme work and anguish. In a her world of despair, she tries to keep her cool and act as if it was a normal day. Then it all comes back at her.
A group of poor people attack her school. She and her friends try to fight them but it was one of Mari's biggest regrets. Mari's best friend, Akiko, got put into a coma due to a heart attack and her other friend, Hiroto, shortened his life span even shorter than it was already set.
It was already bad until she got home to realize that she would loose her father too. Her mother went crazy and killed herself in front of Mari. Her world completely shatters, leaving nothing left.
