It's 1858. Lucas Russell is a young writer from Leyburn, the youngest child to a moderately wealthy family. His brother and sister are highly respected in their father's eyes, whereas Lucas has had a fairly miserable life due to the fact that his father blames him for his mother's death. Lucas spends his days in a shop, and his nights stashed away in the attic, writing. He expects nothing from his life but sadness, until he meets David Meyer, another aspiring writer, and they discover the captivating world of Mr Charles Dickens.

(I will update this every Friday until it is eventually completed or replaced) Lucas Tathern was a shy closed in teenager trying to get through high school. His friends were few and one was rather strange. Until one day everything changed for Lucas. ***Note*** This story was written by me in the fourth grade. I recently rediscover this document while going through files on my old computer. It's poorly written and the plot is cliche and scattered. However, after rereading it I remembered the passion I had for this story and my efforts to express my creativity. Hopefully, I'll be able to rewrite this story and improve upon it because it still has a place in my heart. Hope you enjoy!
