As him and I laid on his couch and talked, there soon was a knock on his door.
He left to go check and came back, not just empty-handed.
The words, "This is my daughter." Shocked me to the core.
"Well, uhm, hello there... I am your dads friend." Was all I could reply.
And so each day after that, him, his daughter and I grew close. Close enough where he left me and dropped his daughter at my front steps saying, "I need time."
I, then, never saw home again.
