Behind my back

Shattering, all I hear is glass shattering. Cries of pain. I follow the sound. I turn into a corner and watch a small girl with black pigtails crouching in a corner, crying.

I ask her if she is okay. She looks up and her face looks at something behind me, scared. She's scared.
