'I pull the car out of the drive way and head on down the road to my first destination, Sonnie's Swim Shakk. As I'm driving down the road I drop my wallet from the dash board and I bend to pick it up. I straiten in my seat and look strait ahead. I notice a figure standing a few yards from my moving car. I slam on my breaks as hard as I can before I hit the person. Luckily I stop just in time, a few inches from the man. By this point I'm already on the verge of crying. I rip my seatbelt off and hop out of the car as fast as possible. "What were you thinking!" Junior? Oh God......, "I could have been killed! Where did you get your license, a toy box?!?" He screams. I'm still recovering from shock. I'm to scared from his screeching voice to notice my tear ridden face. I open my mouth but once again nothing comes out. Seriously the time when I need my voice now more than ever it's still gone.' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Marley Joans. A girl who's been through Hell and back. Or what she thinks would be Hell. Those are the only people who actually understands her situation. And they are determined as well as her to get her voice back before the end of the summer. The friends Marley makes along the way are some of loving and caring and others of snobby, rich kids who's parents wouldn't give a hoot and holler about them including the first boy she meets when she arrives to Avila, Junior Espinoza.
