Katie Simmons has had a pretty rough life. She lived with an abusive father. Watched her mother and step father die, was forced to mug people on the streets of Gotham and her own brother tried to kill her. 
She also freaking died. 

But now life has finally decided to give her a break. She has an awesome boyfriend by the name of Richard Grayson, Aka: Robin. Is a member of a team of superhero teenagers and she seems to be happy with her life. 

But how long does happiness last when the life finally decides to take your break away. And return you to reality. 


Sequel to The Hero and The Villain. 

This book will focus on the following characters:
Katie/Ocelot, Dick/Robin, Wally/KidFlash, Artemis/Artemis, John/Skull, Zatanna/Zatanna and Barbara Gordon. 
But don't worry. The main story will stay on Katie and Dick.

I OWN NOTHING IN THIS STORY. Well except for Katie Simmons. And maybe a few more characters BUT NOTHING ELSE. 13 year old, Katie Simmons has had a pretty rough life. She lived with her mother until she died when Katie was 6. She was then given over to her father, Tony, who is an alcoholic. Almost every night Tony forces Katie to go on the street and mug innocent people. Eventually she moves on from mugging to looting stores and museums. While doing that she meets a young hero. Dressed in red that goes by the name of Robin. Katie also manages to get into Gotham academy. One of the best schools in the country. There she meets a cocky little brat by the name of Dick Grayson. This story is set during season 1 of Young Justice.

Twenty years ago, they made a huge mistake. The JLA and other heroes worldwide ignored the call for help from Gotham. Why they couldn't see it in their hearts to forgive him, even though he saved the world. The result? Over 4 million lost their lives even more homeless and without an income. Both Blüdheaven and Gotham City were blown to smithereens, and so were most of the Bats. 2 months after the explosion only 3 bats were standing. The Bats now were the GCPD police commissioners daughter, the blood son of Batman, and the daughter of a true hero. Among the hundreds of other survivors, they are left to pick up the pieces and care for the wounded but what happens when the other heroes finally are ready to hear the whole story, or rather his story? Not rated mature but will include some topics that might be considered mature including mentions of past suicide. FYI Dick pretty much raised the bat kids, even though Batman was the legal guardian. He meets the last member of their group, the "geek" who tends to keep to herself after the events of her past. Wally is quick to establish a reputation as a heartbreaker and player. He flirts with every girl he sees but it never successful with Artemis. She was different, and that intrigued him. She always has a retort to put him back in his place, especially with his cheesy pick-up lines that . She always seems so uninterested when it comes to Wally, but as we all know, looks can be deceiving.

Robin finally escapes the torture of the experiments and uses his new found power to guide his way through to the mountain. Because of the constant serum input, he is blind. Finally reunited with his old team, the team finds how secretive and broken Robin looks now and what will happen if his old master wants him back? How far will Deathstroke go to get him back? Also can the team bring Dick back from his lowest point in life? Will they be able to fix him after the mental and emotional abuse from Deathstroke, or will he be broken and lost forever?
