Cricket Peterson was born and raised in Blanco, Texas and never desired leaving. It wasn't necessary. Not after her parents retired to Italy and she was left to tend for their lavender farm. She loves the lavender hills and spent most of her childhood in them with a local who quickly became her inseparable best friend. The only downside to their friendship is his sister. Despite her childhood antics, however, it turns out Lyle's sister may be at her wits end. After leaving university in NYC, she returns home at a cost. Her parents want her to be married, or at least dating. Through a series of odd events, Lyle asks Cricket to pretend to be in a relationship with his sister and in spite of her best efforts, she finds herself more drawn to the intrusive woman than ever before. Aster Johnson loves music. In fact, she went to university to get a degree in it. However, college wasn't the environment she wished, not with her creepy professor's hands on approach to teaching, and she just wants to go home, but her parents are quite controlling. They want her to marry so that she can focus on her studies with a security blanket of her own. In a heated argument with them, she confesses she's in a committed relationship and is focusing on writing her violin piece. As much as her parents approve of her musical endeavors, they want her to have someone besides them to rely on throughout life. She knows they have good intentions, but she doesn't want a relationship. Still, to save face her brother's best friend agrees to pretend to be her serious girlfriend. Problem is, they can't stand one another. After moving onto Cricket's property, Aster finds herself oddly curious about the woman. As it turns out, Cricket may feel the same, but can they put their differences aside, or will they forever be locked in a down spiral until Aster finally leaves? ⚠️Trigger Warning: This novel contains short, intense action, grief and stalking. ❤ Mature Content ⚢ Lesbian Romance/Lit 📚

Kenna Hatfield was a child kicked out of high school during her freshman year over a dispute within which she should have disassociated herself. Still, she was never someone to simply stand by and watch injustice, so she acted on impulse and lost any chance of further education until she was able to get her GED. She was taught a more practical skill by her much older brother. Carpentry, constructing large buildings and even wiring electrical work has kept her sane for the last ten years. Now it's time for her to leave home, rejoin society and leave her sordid past behind. She gets a job through her brother and moves from the Providence, Rhode Island, venturing to West Texas and quickly falls in love with the land. What Kenna hadn't anticipated was her new boss. Raising her own hobby farm that also doubles as an animal sanctuary, Janet Garza has a thriving livelihood. She buys the neighboring property to her own, doubling its size, though she knows next to nothing about home renovations and seeks outside help. Her friend Neil calls his sister to join his business and Janet soon finds herself busier than ever. She is ready for this chapter of her life, she's prepared for years, but what she hadn't expected was the dark person who becomes someone else entirely the more she learns of her at each passing day. With her past relationship breaking apart and unsure of what future love could bring at such a pivotal time, can Janet truly accomplish her goals in life with the promise of even more than she ever imagined, or will too many things stack up and overtake her? The feisty new boss Kenna finds herself watching seems a bit in over her head, but she soon realizes this is the type of environment Janet loves and desires the same. The peace of the land, the tranquility of their growing friendship and the letting go of her past, but with Janet in her life, can things finally be different for Kenna? ⚠️ Brief action and youthful tragedy. ❤ Mature Content ⚢ WLW
