Melanie lived her life keeping her family safe after her father got drafted to war. The rebels attack randomly but never too close to home. When a battle breaks out she sends her family to safety as she charges into danger. After saving the Prince's life she gets awarded a position on the Royal Guard.  After a while she starts to realize that the Royals aren't so bad. Steadily the attacks get closer and closer to the palace. The Royal family tries to protect the land. Can the land survive if the Castle falls?
