Saving Miss. Clarice Davenport.

This book stars the character Clarice Davenport in the 1920', who escapes a life style that in all cultures has been looked down on since it began, "Prostitution."

She as a young woman was given to a man for marriage by her mother in exchange for a high sum. Her father a well-known and powerful man had no idea what his wife did and was told his beloved daughter had run off. Clarice was thrust into the hands of a cruel and inhuman man. He forced her to entertain his friends, guests, business associates and men who needed comfort. She became his whore to use and lend and it broke her to a point where most could never come back from.

Now its thirty-five years later and that young seventeen-year-old girl has aged and been shaped into a broken scared woman. She has escaped her husband's hold and has found a high end hotel to hide herself in. It is at the Beaudry Hotel that she begins to finally live and forms a bond with the hotel owner Richard Dawson. He walks through her struggles alongside her and even when he begins to learn of her reputation and the things she has done he stands by her. She learns through him that there is a God and that he forgives and more importantly to her, cleanses.

Richard Dawson is trying everything in his power to save this beautiful woman who he knows God has placed into his life. He wants her to see that she has meaning and can be given a new slate in life but he worries that she will not believe it. If she doesn't it could cost their relationship and even worse her soul. However, he vows to stand by her no matter what and to protect her.

As they grow closer they begin to read the bible together and he shows her the story of Jericho and Rahab the prostitute. She instantly connects with the woman when she sees how God redeemed her when she helped the two spies. From that point she starts to see a little light in her future that she had never seen before.
