When 16-year-old Joshua Perkins' mother passes away in a car accident, he goes to live with his carefree father, who lets him do whatever he wishes to do. Before he knows it, Josh loosens up to a point where he ruins his whole life. He finds himself at a high school party thrown by Lauren Mitchell, where he and his friends get invited by Lauren and her possy to play what they call 'the Ouija game' - a game in which they summon ghosts from the past, using a Ouija board. In hopes of stealing a glimpse at her future, her friend Matilda decides to hold a séance for her 18th birthday party. The girls find a book that holds much more than some gibberish chant. It contained access to an evil beyond their comprehension. It was only supposed to be a game and now Lisa is left playing for her life.
