Soon to be 18-year-old Maria Watson and her family are almost like your average family.  Except, they and everyone in their planet 18 and older begets...wings!  She has just moved to Kastrem from Patwee, her birthplace.   She tries to make friends, and when a handsome man coming to help her parents renovate the "old shack" they move into, Maria falls for him.  But, when she doesn't sprout wings, she has to hide her wingless self until she figures out why her wings haven't grown.  Will she get her wings?  Or will she have to hide from her world?
